Susan manages all financial transactions for all Clarke-Hook entities. Her responsibilities include the management of tenant revenues, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking relationships, payroll and corporate taxes.

Susan’s fascination with numbers and her penchant for maintaining confidentiality led her into a career of finance. Previously, she worked for AT&T, managed the accounting needs of her busy family and later partnered with her husband in a successful retail decorating business. She managed all the financial aspects of running the business from the ground floor up.

When Susan joined Clarke-Hook in 1996, she immediately identified improvements to processes that serve to protect the financial stability of the company. She has continued to serve Clarke-Hook with the same high level of watchdog professionalism. She was attracted to Clarke-Hook and its warm family atmosphere that is pervasive within the company and acknowledges that the tenants seem to appreciate belonging to the Clarke-Hook community.

Susan is a Washington D.C. area native and received her B.A. in History and Education from American University.
