Summer’s Dog Days Bring Cool Surprises. Got Lease Activity? We Do!

Usually, during July and August, commercial leasing takes a vacation, but the past two months we’ve had a number of pleasant surprises.

We’ve seen healthy leasing activity in all our Dulles Region centers.

In Chantilly, we welcome Nova Installations and Artistry Lighting to our West Fairfax Commerce Center.  Our new tenants were attracted not only for the direct Rt. 50 exposure but also because of the many complementary businesses in the Center.  We’re becoming a home improvement haven!!

In Sterling, we scored big with The Dulles Plumbing Group, a great business wishing to take advantage of location to their customer base, as well as an outstanding facility for their HQ.  (Nova Installations also moved in as strictly a warehouse use which makes the center 100% leased!)

Our University Commerce Center in Ashburn is yielding the most surprising activity with 4 deals in as many weeks.

1.    One expansion by GovPartners

2.    Two superb new tenants

3.    Hautspot – purveyors of mobile wireless!! This will be their corporate offices.

4.    Also, Free to Dance Foundation, a nonprofit studio which offers dance lessons and also gives children and adults the opportunity to get involved with dance without the cost of standard lessons.

We are working with another potential business...more to come.

Special Thanks go to Pete Hutchison of Sperry Van Ness/Rich Vaaler and Kathy Knight of Barrett Industries, Commercial Real Division.

Pete and Kathy are top notch, professional agents who have brought us multiple deals in the past few months.

Not to be overlooked, the tremendous efforts by our Leasing Division led by Director, Ingrid Gelinas.

Turning prospects into customers – especially in mid summer – especially in these times – requires great effort – knowledge of all aspects of the product and how to best meet the prospects needs…AND make it work for us.

Ingrid and her team continue to demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, the hallmark of Clarke-Hook.
